Opened in August 1953, this 400 car drive in was one of the smaller ones in San Antonio. It played Spanish speaking films. Closed in 1979.

There is now a housing project that was built recently over the old area where it once stood.

Billboard, Aug. 8, 1953: “El Charro Drive-In has been opened in San Antonio by John H. Flache, Lamesa, Tex. Delmo Pierce has been named manager.”
