The cinema closed during the summer 1967 due to construction noise. It never did that well except during the opening of Star Wars.

After it was split in two, showed porno films. I found the ads in old Montreal Star microfilm. After “Star Wars” it kept playing first run films.

The adult cinema policy started in 1970 until it was split in 1976. It closed in 1992 when the new passageway to the Bonaventure Metro at 1000 Rue de la Gauchetière opened up routed the foot traffic away from Place Bonaventure. Place Bonaventure is now a very busy office complex
