The sun motif is seen clearly here on the drop in ceiling levels between front and rear auditorium in this 1935 colorized photo. Windswept cloud patterns and rays of the sun are suggested on the side wall panels. Decorations in the now lost Stalls section below also featured the sun rising in the bottom far corner of each wall panel.
