A picture of what I called the “3-sheet poster case.” The local billboard company would come weekly and glue two large 3-sheet posters of that weekends double feature into the case. I know because I would deliver a supply of the posters to them every month. I managed the Columbia during the early 1960s. It began a weekends-only policy in 1959, and I suspect this sign (hidden while I worked there) dates from then. Courier & Press photo dated 5/5/94.
