Beach Theatre

The Florida Theatre was opened on September 28, 1925 with Gloria Swanson in “The Coast of Folly”. Seating was listed at 400. Later became the Beach Theatre. Was operated by Florida State Theatres.

The Beach Theatre closed in 1971 and later became the home to a Harley Davidson dealer.

The Beach theatre Always had Double features like on June 5 1958,“WILD IS THE WIND” and “STOWAWAY GIRL'.Kids in the area should remember the Kiddie shows running three hours on Saturday morning,with FREE PEPSI!

C SWalczak is correct, also newspaper archives show that the Florida Theater was in that location at least as early as October 1, 1936. Himone Simon was featured in “Girls Dormitory”
