Info about 1937 UK Premiere of Snow White

Hi,

Im preparing a thesis on Walt Disney’s achievements in UK Cinema History. I’m pretty much covered apart from the opening date and place of this film (it could be due to lack of information during the war). If anybody has any information on the premiere please please let me know.

Thanks

Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” opened at the New Gallery Cinema, Regent Street, London in February 1938, ran for nine months and was seen by 819,000 cinemagoers in this 1,450 seat cinema.
