Landmark events on Cinema Treasures
It seems like only yesterday (well it was September 10, 2007 actually) that we boasted the 1,000th United Kingdom cinema/movie theater to be entered on the Cinema Treasures database. We can now reveal that this figure has been doubled, thanks to our volunteer Theater Editor Ken Roe (who is based in London, UK) and the many dedicated contributors throughout the world who have made such a marked input on this section of the site. Congratulations to all concerned in making this Landmark event….2,000+ and counting……..
As if this wasn’t enough……Cinema Treasures has also attained another Landmark event……
The United Kingdom section of Cinema Treasures can now boast to be the first major country on our ‘Locations’ that has listings for ALL currently operating cinemas represented. Again Ken Roe and many other mainly UK contributors have achieved the mammoth task of building a database list of every ‘open’ cinema in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our pages range from the latest city multiplex and megaplex to the restored ‘classic’ cinema buildings, and also include the art centres and public halls which keep the magic of cinema alive in the small towns and villages. Again congratulations are in order for this outstanding achievement.

There are a few landmark events that have taken place on Cinema Treasures. One event that stands out is the auction of the Chinese Theater. This historic theater was auctioned off to the highest bidder, who happened to be a private collector. SEO experts Cochin Another event that occurred on Cinema Treasures was the unveiling of the TCM Classic Film Festival. This event brought together some of the biggest names in classic film for a weekend of celebrating cinema.
