ROYAL OAK, MI – The $19 million upscale Emagine Royal Oak opened to the public on May 16 after a weekend of charity opening gala events. The theater features some D-Box seats, stadium seating, and advanced digital projection and sound systems. In addition to the cinemas, the complex also features twelve lanes of “boutique” bowling, gourmet food offerings, and an electronic security system to monitor sales of alchohol so as to prevent sales and use by minors. Food offerings include popcorn popped in olive oil and twelve varieties of sliders. The staff of 150 includes an emergency manicurist.
