Georgia Theatre changes hands

ATHENS, GA — Wilmot Greene has owned the Georgia Theatre for 10 years and weathered the greatest storms of all including the theatre burning down five years ago. Now he’s sold it to a group of investors, Agon Sports and Entertainment. Don’t expect big changes though. The formula of bringing in top musical acts has been working and with the same group of employees, the experience will be preserved.

NOTICE THE CLASSIC TRIPLE marquee on the side of the GEorgia Theatre,,,it is used for broadway plays{CLASSIC} and such..both owned by GEORGIA THEATRES at one time…
