Help me out here, I’m a little confused with the location, and the Google Map sure dosen’t help.
It puts the cinema right in the middle of Hillsborough and Sheldon Road along with Ribley Chiropractic, which has an address of 8525, that makes no sense.
It would fit in between 8615 Dollar General and 8635 Castellano DMD, so it could have been in those big buildings in back, but Bilmar Station is 8501 and Auldi is 8521?
Is what is now Hillsborough Square Shopping Center what used to be Buccaneer Square Shopping Center?

When you go to the map, which uses the 5140 address, and go to the satellite photo, it shows no building. I haven’t been to Largo for a few years, but I found the 5100 address somewhere and if you change the address to 5100 it zooms into a building. Do you know if that is the theater?
Andy, I went to the AMC Site and could find no theater listed in Largo or by the ZIP Code, perhaps someone else runs the theater, are you sure it’s still open?

The theater is south west of the red dot and shows up as
CRITENON CINEMAS 16
which must have been another name of the theater.
The old address showed up on Google over 2 miles off to the west!
The theater was also run by North American Cinemas.

For some reason Google Maps is showing a location about 3 blocks off from the correct location.
I have also found another location of 1340 E Oak Street, But when entered in Google it also is 3 blocks off.
Other locations that are close are to these theaters sites, so either location would fit in here somewhere, are:
1203 Mc Donald's
1328 Wachovia Bank
1329 Taco Bell
1330 Winn-Dxie
1332 Domino’s Pizza
1409 Bank of America
If anyone can add any info to this, that would be GREAT!
Carmike Cinemas also ran these theaters.

Had a wide screen and stero sound.

Looks like the last use of the Mack has been for Dog Grooming.
I’ve seen it listed as
Fairmont Cinema SQUARE 6 & VI.
In 1950 it was run by Mid-States Theaters.
It was owned by Storey Theaters and held Fleamarkets.
It was open till about 1955.
