The temporary rope barrier is to prevent a matinee crowd of children from rushing out into busy Kensington Road. The garden had a pond which had to be de-populated because small boys stoned the fish, and there is a verandah down the whole eastern wall with racks for bicycles. There is also a sizeable car park at the rear of the theatre.
