  • <p>The since-demolished Tremont St. entrance of the Savoy (B.F. Keith Memorial/RKO Keith’s/Opera House), Summer, 1982. Not familiar with Boston theaters at the time, I had no idea that there was another entrance to the same theater on the other side of the block. I would have of course discovered the Paramount, Mayflower, State, and others had I ventured further, but that day I only photographed the Savoy, Astor, Saxon, Schubert, and Metropolitan (for some reason I neglected to shoot the Wilbur). I had done no research ahead of time, and was traveling with friends who were not theater buffs.</p>
