“On This Day In Herstory. On July 31, 1967 Judy Garland opened at The Palace Theatre in NYC for the third and final time. The show had a limited run of four weeks, the reviews were raves and valentines, and the album recorded during the run was the last new album of Judy’s to make it onto the Billboard charts during her lifetime. In TJGE vaults we are in possession of the original opening night box office receipt from this engagement (donated to TJGE by the, not only talented, but generous Julie Sheppard), here it is.”
