Hudson Theatre

The Hudson Theatre itself was built in the Albany Card and Paper Company Building in 1916. It lasted as a theatre until 1933. It sat empty until sometime in 1955 when it was converted to a warehouse. During its conversion to a warehouse, all the theatre features were removed. It stood empty from around 2000 and was demolished in around 2007.

If you go to the building today you can still see the former entrance- a tin facade has an HT monogram, and the cement sidewalk still says HUDSON THEATER in red and white.

Those Library of Congress photos show the ornate pressed tin ceiling still intact. Unfortunately the google photo of that address shows that the theatre portion of the complex has been demolished. Status should be changed accordingly.
