March 10th, 1937 grand opening ad in the photo section. The Landis opened the next day.

The building is still relatively intact. All 4 exterior walls still stand and the roof is intact. The brick work for the primary facade is concealed behind another facade and is relatively intact though restoration would be difficult. In the conversion to an office a 2nd floor was built inside the building and the floor was leveled. The sloped floor is still accessible on the sides from the basement (very mysterious). The Proscenium Arch is structurally in place but no decoration appears to have been left. Other original features could be concealed behind the office construction.

The theater was not razed, but was converted into an office building during the 1960s. The back of the building shows that is was obviously once a theater.
