Note corrected opening date is confirmed as 1950, along with additional locale data - this image spotted in a book called Clark Lane: A Region of Waterford CT From 1600-2000. The original Waterford Drive-In at Boston Post Road near the intersection of Clark Lane opened in 1950 on a lot formerly known as Davis Field, known along nearby Clark Lane as the Circus Lot, due to having hosted an annual circus for years. The entrance was located along Boston Post Road, with an exit on Clark Lane, and the lot was ringed by Woodland Grove Trailer Park and Fenger’s Hollow.
