The Cavendish Drive-In was located in the east end of Cavendish, Prince Edward Island. I believe the road is Simpson Mill Road, but I may be mistaken. It opened in the early 1980’s and operated into the mid 90’s. It was closed on and off near the end due to declining attendance. The Cavendish Drive-In did not have the same appeal as the other drive-in in nearby Brakley Beach.
The Cavendish Drive-In had a long and narrow parking area, so only the cars closer to the front got a good seat. I’m not sure how many cars it would have accomodated, but I wouldn’t think much more than 100.
They have now built cottages on the site which are rented out to tourists.
