The Actual Opening Date Is May 26th, 1949 With “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty”. It Is Owned And Operated By Culley B. Goss, Who Also Operated A Nearby Airport; W.W. And A.W. Hammond Who Both Also Worked At The Joy Theatre Nearby.

The picture above is the Shadyside which is still in Albertville to the south of this Drive-in.

The Marshall opened in 1949, closed in 1985 and demolished in 2004. This location is no longer in Albertville.

The address for this Drive-in is now 6101 AL-205, Guntersville, AL 35976.

Please update.

Dixon,

There are two drive-ins (Marshall and Shadyside) near Albertville, both are on Hwy 205. One is south of town, one is north of town. Which drive-in is the Marshall and which drive-in is the Shadyside?

The old concession stand still stands as of 2013.
