The Iowa Theatre was one of better than a half dozen theatres operating at one time in the downtown area of Fort Dodge. The Iowa Theatre opened around 1930, and was operated by Central States Theatres. Seating was listed at 635. In the 1940’s it was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary A.H. Blank. Seating was given as 800. The Iowa Theatre closed sometime in the mid-1950’s.

The June 13, 1930, issue of The Film Daily said in an item datelined Fort Dodge that “Bruno Pierce is managing the new Iowa here, recently opened by the Rivola Co.”

This has been demolished. Just some cruddy little one story buildings now.
