When the above photo was taken, the theatre had previously closed due to extensive water damage. In 2001 the Pondera Arts Council purchased the theater and started a complete renovation from private donations and a large grant from Wiegand. The interior is complete with refurbished art deco seats, fixtures, and organ. New additions like surround sound and a full stage have also been added. Funds are being obtained to purchase a giant neon marquee. It finally will look like it was meant to be.

In 1970 the theater was operated by the Orpheum Theater Co. of Shelby, Montana. Owners were Theo Bartschi, Karla Love and Byron Kluth. Manager was Joe Love. It looks like some photos will be posted soon on the theater’s website:

The Orpheum Theatre was constructed in 1917 and opened in 1918. The theatre has made the digital conversion.
