Opened in 1916 as the Palace Theatre. Silent movies were first shown in the YMCA before the Palace Theatre was built. The building was attached to the Everett House. It was later renovated and renamed the Community Theatre. It was owned by Isadore M. Hirshblond of Toms River. The Community Theatre is listed in the 1944, 1945, 1951, 1952 and 1956 Film Daily Yearbooks.
