The Princess Theater was not open in the 70s from what I recall. In the late 70s, the building was already falling apart and nothing remained to even identify it as a theater.

Google Street View doesn’t go far enough, but it would be just ahead on the righthand side.

The PRINCESS theatre was a wooden structure and was still in operation following WW II. I remember seeing movies there in the late 1940’s. I have photos of the outside when the theatre was closed and covered with vines.

On a recent episode of American pickers the Princess theater is the subject of interest. Mike Wolfe and his brother Rob find some theater lobby card frames. Some good history about the Princess Theater and nearby Mt. Hope Theater is mentioned in this episode. Relatives of the original owners tell some interesting stories about both theaters. The Princess Theatre was the only house listed at Boomer in the 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory.
