This perspective drawing by Thraves shows the detail of the façade, which was carried out in Light Sandstock Facing Bricks relieved with Ancaster Stone. Adjoining the Entrance Arcade were two shops which were rented out. The windows above were those of the Restaurant, which access could also be obtained from the Arcade. The large stage was capable of accommodating most shows. Projection apparatus by Kalee, the sound system was Western Electric Mirrophonic. Kemp Cinemas Ltd sold the State in 1973.
