Opened as the Plaza Cinema 1 & 2 under Stewart Everett on November 21, 1972……….

It was known as the Plaza Cinema 1 & 2 under Stewart and Everett Theatres(1972-1986),and later under Carmike Cinemas(1986-2008).

This movie theatre opened way before 1975.

It was known as the Plaza Cinema 1 & 2.

Wasn’t this theatre anchored by three major stores? I know it was anchored by a Winn-Dixie grocery store and a Roses Department Store and at one end a Eckerd Drugs. The theatre was on the opposite end of the shopping center off US. 421.

Why they would have refurbished this theater is anyones guess.The numbers at this theater have been bad for years.
