The Electric Theatre opened as early as 1907. In the early-1910s while under the management of C.H. Barkalow, the theater suffered destruction from a massive fire which destroyed four buildings on First Street (north of Maple). It was rebuilt and reopened a short time later.

The Electric Theatre closed as a movie house in 1931 but retained as a special events house until 1932.

Address or description is wrong. 111 S Maple would have been in the middle of the block, south of 1st. There is indeed a vacant lot south of 107, which might have been where the theater was. The 1920 Sanborn shows a bunch of small wooden shops there, but of course they might have been demolished to be replaced by a theater.

The Electric Theatre was listed as closed in 1933. Seating was listed at 500. It closed a couple years after the Ozark Theatre opened. The address was 111 S. Maple St., the building has been demolished.
