The Interstate Circuit of Dallas opened the Rio Theater in Denison on July 12, 1940. It was located on the site of the old Palace Theater. It had seating for 320 and featured a 10 x 14 foot screen.
At the end of a 16 year run it was demolished and replaced by a bank building.
