The Lyric Theater began in the early 1900’s in Dickinson. It was the first elaborate movie theater in the small town. It was located on Villard Street W, on the first block west of Sims Street. In 1913 a four piece orchestra accompanied the silent pictures. In 1915 a pipe organ was installled.

Sold and became the new Billard Parlor on August 11 1917. The building later burned down on January 20 1949, during the Villard Hotel fire.
