Originally opened as the Strand Theater. It was refurbished and reopened as the Key Theater on April 15, 1922. The Galveston Daily News reported a fire in the Key Theater on January 30, 1940. However, repairs were carried out and it was reopened and finally closed June 20, 1951. It has since been demolished.
