Photograph taken June 1939 showing the brick altered façade by Howes & Jackman. Stepped bricks feature the chamfered front edges, the central cafe widows are also recessed, with stained glass vertical stair windows either side. Above the Regal name is enclosed by horizontal stone banding lit in red with red and mauve neon lighting motifs on the flat chamfered edges.
