Empress Theater

The Empress Theater was a small neighborhood theater, operating from at least 1932 through to 1950 and beyond. Bt the 1950’s it was operated by the same operators as the Hub Theatre in Sea Breeze.

By the mid-1990’s it was in use as a Salvation Army Community Center, which remains in 2009.

Do we know for sure if the Salvation Army building incorporates the old theatre? I was there yesterday and could not tell if it may be a completely new building.
