The S&S Cinemas opened in the early-1970’s in the Clinton Plaza Shopping Center under Charlotte based Stewart and Everett Theatres.
During the late-1970’s or early-1980’s, Martin Theatres acquired the Cinema 1 & 2, until 1986 when Carmike began operations of the cinema until its closing in the mid-1990’s.
The theatre is located in the Clinton Plaza Shopping Center off Clinton Boulevard at the intersections of U.S. 421 and U.S. 701 and N.C. 24 Bypass.
