Located in the southeast London district of Rotherhithe, on the corner of Rotherhithe New Road and Lower Road. The Lion Electric Theatre was opened prior to 1915. It was later re-named Lion Cinema, and was taken over by Denman Picture Houses Ltd/Gaumont-British Picture Corporation in March 1928.
The Lion Cinema was closed by German bomb damage during World War II. It never re-opened.
