Regal Theatre

The Rose Theatre opened in 1917 with seating given at 425. The theatre was later renamed the Regal Theatre. This was a theatre built for African American audiences. The architect for the Rose/Regal Theatre was George Zagel.

The Regal Theatre was closed in 1958 and later demolished. Housing units are now on the site of the former theatre.

Any further information on the Rose/Regal would be appreciated.
