Regent Chatham auditorium photograph dated Monday 11th July 1938 for the opening ceremony performed by the Mayor of Chatham. Construction by William Blay Ltd of Dartford. Architect William Glen engaged his usual team to carry out the impressive works for the 1,906 seated auditorium. Fibrous plaster detail and decorative painting by Clark & Fenn Ltd., pendant lighting by F.H. Pride Ltd., silk Tableaux butterfly proscenium curtains and fitted carpet by Hall & Dixon Ltd., seating supplied by H. Lazarus & Son Ltd.
