Sylvania, Georgia is located south of Augusta and is served by a main State Road 21 and was the home to three drive-in theatres and for a town that size that is quite a few screens.

The Worth Drive-In parked 200 cars just like the other drive-in in town, the Screven Drive-In. It was owned by Stein Theatres out of Jacksonville, FL. Stein Theatres also ran the city’s downtown theatre, the Palace Theatre. When it closed? Hopefully someone will know.

The Worth Drive In Theatre was in Sylvester Georgia. The last time I saw the location it was being used by a timber company. Sylvester was in Worth County. It was owned by R. T. Moody. Sylvester has the Palace downtown and the building is still standing and was owned by Stein Theatres. There is a possibility that the Palace listed in Sylvania is really the Palace in Sylvester.
