Renton Village 8 was a General Cinema Theatre that replaced the previous GCC Renton Village Tri-plex. Construction started in January 1989 and the theatre opened in November, 1989. The address was 25 South Grady Way, Renton WA 98055. It had 2300 seats and one THX auditorium. It could show 70mm as well as 35mm film. It was a General Cinema Theatre until 2002 when AMC bought out General Cinema. AMC closed the theatre in 2009.
