Photograph taken on 20th June 1965. I remember the original opening of “How the West was Won” I was then working at the Casino Cinerama London in 1963 where the premier was held. It was so busy that on Saturdays they added an extra two showings to four a day 11.30 am 2.30 pm 7.30 pm and a midnight performance that began at 11.30 pm. All the staff were provided with taxis home, if you did all four showings you earned an extra £5.00. In the foyer there was a notice board advising that all seats were booked for six months. One problem was the upper circle had to be closed as the viewing from there was out of focus, as the three special projectors were installed at the rear of the stalls.
