The Hardy Bay Theatre opened with "The Greatest Show on Earth" and for the kids Disney’s "Treasure Island" and "Dr.Syn". This was in the mid-1970’s. The first regular first run feature was "Moonrunners" starring James Mitchum in 1975. The Hardy Bay Theatre is located near the fire hall and city Library. Adults were $3.00 a seat. Students were $2.50 a seat and kids were $1.25. For the most part this theatre like alot of small towns ran three different features each week.
