Originally opened as the Tiger Theatre in 1945. Frank Nordean later took over the Tiger Theatre, along with the Rex Theatre and renamed the Tiger Theatre after his wife. The Shirley Theatre was gutted by fire May 6, 1954.

Les Nordean’s Tiger Theatre at Konawa, Oklahoma, was gutted by fire in May, 1954. The August 14 issue of Boxoffice reported that Nordean had spent $16,000 to restore the house, and was renaming it the Shirley Theatre after his wife.

Here is a modern day view of 100 S. Broadway (Main & Broadway), but don’t see any structure resembling a former cinema,

Opened as the Tiger Theatre in 1945, inside a former hotel, had 398 seats, as mentioned above, gutted by fire on May 6, 1954.
