The new seats are now installed. They are electric recliners. The theater also got a remodeling and new carpet throughout the building.

The new electric reclining seats are being installed right now. They are starting with auditoriums 1 through 7 first.

The Century Olympia 14 is one of several multiplex projects designed for the Century chain by the San Diego architectural firm Fehlman LaBarre (partial list from Reed Construction Data.) The Fehlman LaBarre web site used to have information about their theater projects, but the domain name was allowed to lapse and is now a spam site, so avoid it.

Partner Mark Fehlman has retired from architecture to pursue a career as an artist, and partner Michael LaBarre has merged his practice with San Diego firm Carrier Johnson + CULTURE.

You must go inside the mall in order to get to the theater boxoffice and snack bar.

The theater is located in the back of the mall and hidden from the main streets. The best way to get to it is to come in on Harrison and turn south at Kenyon. This will take you directly to the theater.
