Photograph taken in 1970 of the exterior of the Ritz. The display board on the side wall is advertising the Cleethorpes Silhouettes Operatic Society production of South Pacific, which the company performed three times. The Society used the large stage facilities of the Ritz from 1964 until 1972 when the single auditorium was split into two. It is worth remembering that many cinemas built during the 1930’s had stage and dressing rooms built into their plans and Architect Robert Cromie provided these in most of his cinemas.
