Globe Theatre

Located in the Maryus community, to the east of Gloucester Point, VA. The Globe Theatre was on Main Street, diagonally across from the Asta Theatre.

The Globe Theatre operated from the mid-1940’s until the early-1950’s. It was owned by the brothers Calvin & Vernon Haywood, who owned a successful seafood business in the county. It was quite a plain building and had the box office and lobby card displays located just inside the double doors.

Closed due to lack of business, the Globe Theatre was demolished.
