The Masonic Lodge in Mt. Carmel, IL also hosted the Palace Theatre, as described on page 291 of ‘Historic Movie Theatres in Illinois, 1883-1960’ by Konrad Schiecke. The Palace Theatre opened in 1910.
The Palace Theatre was closed in 1938. It was listed as (Closed) in the 1941 and 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook, and never reopened.
