The Joy Drive-In was opened as a single screen drive-in prior to 1972. It was operated by Joy Theatres out of New Orleans. It could accomodate 600 cars. It was later twinned. It closed in 1984 and was reopened under the Galaxy Drive-In in 1989. It closed for good in 1992 and has since been demolished.

The information listed is incorrect.
This Drive-in was located at Natchez Street and Corbin Road across from what is now the Seville Shopping Center.
The ramps for both screens are still visible. It is now and empty lot.
When this opened as the Joy Drive-in, this theater had one screen according to a 1972 aerial. As the Galaxy, a field was added behind the original property according to current aerials. The correct zip code is 74703.

New construction started on the property in 2021.

The Burrow Apartments are being built on the site, there is no trace of the drive-in remaining. Although the area immediately surrounding what was the second screen appears to be untouched by the construction.
