The Canon City Opera House was built around 1885. By the 1920’s the opera house was remodeled and used as a motion picture theatre. The name was then changed to the Sarah Theatre.
The Sarah Theatre is listed in the 1929 Film Daily Yearbook with 700 seats. Not listed in the 1930 edition. The building was demolished in 1967.
