The Silver City Cinema was opened in 1968. It was a conversion of an already existing single story building on W. 6th Street near Pine Street. It was still open in 2008 and the building was later destroyed by fire.

Same theater? Boxoffice, Jan. 21, 1974: Lloyd Greve has completed construction on the twinning of his Cine Moly Theatre, Leadville. The older auditorium continues with a seating capacity of 499, while the new adjoining facility adds an additional 300 seats."

The Cine Moly in MichaelKilgore’s link was a different theater, located at 1920 N. Poplar Street. It opened in February, 1969 and has been demolished. I haven’t found a closing date.

The Silver City Cinema was in operation at least as late as 2008, when it was scheduled to be one of the venues of that year’s Independence Film Fest, held in September.
