The Crown Theatre opened in 1908. It went through several name changes; in 1932 to Imperial Theatre, in 1934 to Roy Theatre when it was operated by Leon Zeller, and from 1938 until it closed in 1950 it was the Pic Theatre. The building went into retail use and now houses a Chinese Food & Sub Shop.
