Palace Cinema

Located in Bedworth, Warwickshire. The Palace Cinema was opened 20th February 1911 by Edward W. Wallis. Seating was provided in stalls and circle levels. In 1930 it was equipped with a British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound system. It was sold to new operators in 1947.

In 1957 it was taken over by Orr Entertainments, who equipped it with CinemaScope. Around 1960 it went over to part-time bingo use. In 1962 it was taken over by the Miles Jarvis chain of cinemas, and became a full-time bingo club in 1963.

Please Note* A Book “The Auditorium” is available and covers the cinemas of Bedworth and Bulkington and also the other cinemas of North Warwickshire including Atherstone, Nuneaton, Chapel End, Arley, Coleshill, Attleborough and Stockingford.
