Paramount Nace Theatres opened the Aero Theatre on December 25, 1946, with “Bells of St. Mary’s" starring Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman. Their advertisement noted that the feature would be delivered by helicopter.

According to the theatre page in the Arizona Republic, this was Paramount Nace’s eighth theatre in the city. The others were the Orpheum Theatre, Palms Theatre, Ramona Theatre, Rialto Theatre, Strand Theatre, Studio Theatre, and the Indian Drive-In.

In April of 1957, while operated by Arizona Paramount Theatres, the Aero Theatre closed and was replaced by the Westside Revival Center in 1958. Later occupants were the Aero Bowl in 1960 (the rusting sign is still there) and most recently a tire shop.
