Change the status of this theater to “Closed”. Google Maps has the theater listed as “Permenantly Closed” and A recent review on there has indicated that a Final Eviction Notice has been put on the building. The Movie Theater poster holders have also since been taken down as well. I am not exactly sure when the theater closed, but most likely sometime between 2020 and 2022.

Jim and John Duffy began the Cinema Drafthouse concept in Orlando running theatres under the Cinema ‘n’ Drafhouse. They moved the operation to Atlanta under the banner of the Cinema Grill Systems Circuit of Georgia, This location became one of the longest running in their circuit opening July 20, 1984.

First opened as the Clearwater Cinema ‘N Drafthouse in 1984. It became a twin in 1989 renaming as “Clearwater Twin Cinema Cafe”. It was later renamed to just simply “Clearwater Cinema Cafe”.
